Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse
JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse is considered to be one of the best Japanese restaurants (including sushi, hibachi, teppanyaki, teriyaki, and more) in the greater Syracuse/Liverpool New York area. We had the distinct honor of revamping their website into an eye-catching, trendy, and modern design.
DESIGNER COMMENTS:
Ah, another site, for another one of the best restaurants in my area. This time it's Ichiban, the finest local hibachi and sushi place you can find. Site features unique (and mostly custom shot) background pictures for each page, unique tiling transitions, and a pretty sweet opening animation.
Site also features CMS, mailing list integration, and some new SWF Address code I've recently learned so you can use the Back button on the Flash site. Oh and if you're in the Syracuse/Liverpool area, I highly recommend going there for dinner; the food is incredible.

L'Adour Restaurant Francais
FRENCH RESTAURANT
L'Adour is a premiere French restaurant in Syracuse, NY. The high class restaurant site sets itself apart from others by displaying a great color scheme, original transitions and several informational pages about the great staff and food.
DESIGNER COMMENTS:
My first restaurant website, and a very tricky one at that. A huge wine list, several menu categories, special event programming, and much more. Site is control panel driven as well, so that the client can update everything themselves.
Graphically the site features a different background for each page, complete with elegant transitions.

The Lotus Lounge
SUSHI RESTAURANT
The Lotus Lounge is a high class Sushi restaurant located in the Netherlands. Their Flash website beautifully shows a gentle purplish theme with extensive menu photographs, smooth transtitions and originally crafted animations. We also built an XML page to help Lotus update the wine list and menu at their needs.
DESIGNER COMMENTS:
This one's a collaboration with my friend Frank (Diggi Dis) in the Netherlands. And a tricky job it was too, since I don't speak the language. So what we have here is a website, designed and programmed by an American, for a Japanese restaurant, written in Dutch. Fun fun. Thankfully it went pretty smooth for the most part, they gave me some excellent photos to work with, and I was able to take the whole lotus idea and turn that into a cool loading screen and page transition.
Site also features CMS for easy menu and wine list updating.

Tanglevine Crossing
HOMEMADE CANDY AND UNIQUE GIFTS
This is a pretty neat site for a pretty neat business. They make homemade candy, unique gifts and sell them online. Its very clean, and quite elegant. Had interesting roll-over buttons and nifty page transitions.
DESIGNER COMMENTS:
"This one was also tricky. Considerng one of their taglines is "unique gifts", I really wanted to make the site unique... and it took several tries. I tried matching the actual look of their shop interior, I tried turning their checkout desk into a platform for the site, we tried antique photo frames as a motif... nothing worked. Then I came across this wonderful glass case, and it sparked an idea. Then I had the notion of interworking actual vines (from the title) into the design, and it grew from there.
Features Paypal integration for online shopping, complete with various options per product, and a very unique page transition from home to the individual sections."
