INDUSTRIAL ECO-FRIENDLY BUSINESS

To ride the line in design between corporate and creative, it's always a tricky balance. You need to get a lot of information across in a clean way, but that doesn't mean it needs to be boring.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

Another tricky one, mainly because of the content. This is pretty technical industrial stuff, most of which isn't terribly exciting unless you're involved in the biz, and I had to make it look riveting and cool. Through clever use of background photos and some subtle battery-esque visuals and animations, I think it came out pretty good. Definitely the best battery research site I've ever built. :)

SAT Meetings & Conventions
EVENT MANAGEMENT, TRAVEL

The SATMC website is another one with a great deal of text that needed to be organized cleanly inside a Flash site. Furthermore, they wanted a full-screen adaptable design with animated Flash transitions, which made things interesting. The final result also includes testimonials and case studies (with Flash photo galleries) mingled into the design.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

This here's another deal where they had a pretty specific design in mind, and mostly I did the programming. It was pretty tricky, trying to get all the site content to display cleanly inside the vertical sections they outlined, particularly since they wanted the site to adapt to the size of the viewer's screen. What looks close togther on a small monitor looks nice and spread out on a large screen, and so on. But all in all it came out nice, has some cool transitions, and definitely has a unique look.

Site also features a flash intro, with music by Mazedude.

CPA Kumar
FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING SERVICES

The CPA Kumar flash website for accountants and financial consultants features a great deal of text content, easily navigable via easy to read buttons and subcategories. Site features an animated cloud background, key financial links featured on the home page, and as its main feature - an online financial estimator and calculator built into the Flash site itself.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

This one was a tricky one. To do a site that's mostly text is never easy, and this one had a lot of content. But, the video background of the clouds and the cool building (courtesy of iStockPhoto.com give it punch, and it's become one of my favorite designs.
Site features a very in-depth online calculator, for estimate purposes.

Digital Vertical Marketing
STRATEGIC SEARCH/SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

This social media marketing company website showcases the work of Digital Vertical, a company in Syracuse NY with a focus on branding, social media services, marketing, local leadgen, tweet4sales, and much more. Website features a corporate yet fun design with animated Flash transitions between the various pages.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

An informational site for a Syracuse company, this site rides the line between "corporate"; and "creative". I wanted to give it some blues, some corporate buildings and such, but didn't want it to be boring. I think I succeeded here, with the animated clouds reflecting off the building, the fun transition between home and the rest of the pages, the animated logo and so on. You judge for yourself. :)

Sixty6 Creative
GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDIO

Sixty6 Creative's Flash website displays all aspects of this companies multi-faceted marketing experience and branding capabilites. It features a clean layout and and sharp portfolio that reflects Sixty 6's innovative design skills. Displaying work from their branding, promotions and collatoral collection.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

Built in conjunction with Sixty6 Creative, this site takes advantage of the full screen, and centers large examples of their work with shadows and other effects to make it look very cool.
This was more a case of they did most of the actual design work, and I took care of all the tricky programming. If you need a cool brochure, logo, or other such graphic design, I recommend their work. Very clean, simple, and yet fancy at the same time - a very tricky line to balance, and they do it flawlessly.

Tanglevine Crossing
HANDMADE CANDY AND UNIQUE GIFTS, E-COMMERCE

Tanglevine's Flash site integrates crisp animated pages that highlight the companies wide range of unique gifts. It's E-commerce capabilites allow purchase of an array of funky products such as candy, blankets, wallets and more!

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

This one was also tricky. Considerng one of their taglines is "unique gifts", I really wanted to make the site unique... and it took several tries. I tried matching the actual look of their shop interior, I tried turning their checkout desk into a platform for the site, we tried antique photo frames as a motif... nothing worked. Then I came across this wonderful glass case, and it sparked an idea. Then I had the notion of interworking actual vines (from the title) into the design, and it grew from there.
Features Paypal integration for online shopping, complete with various options per product, and a very unique page transition from home to the individual sections.

Smart Start PR
PUBLIC RELATIONS & MARKETING

Smart Start's Public Relations website outlines the Manhattan based companies' strategy and approach to successful Marketing. It is equipped with a confident business aesthetic, logical navigation and interactive contact form that will help any aspiring business get up and running effectively.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

This is a fairly simple site - only a few pages, with a clean yet unique look. The concept of a large "Start" button was applied to every site button, each one revealing that page's content on the opposite side. Graphically there are no actual pictures, and very little in the way of graphics, but various 3D corporate stock photos of computer generated people are sprinkled throughout to enhance the text. Overall it's clean, and effective.

EMS Fire Law / Scicchitano & Pinsky, PLLC
ATTORNEYS AT LAW

This Law firm website clearly lays out Scicchitiano & Pinksy's expertise in their numerous divisions of law. The flash site features motion graphics, online training classes and interactive workshops for their clients' work in EMS, fire, personal injury and real estate cases.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

My first law firm site. The challenge here was taking a site that was mostly text and give it an interesting display, fun transitions, and easy navigation. Site features drop-down menus, back and forward buttons, and XML driven articles with CMS so the client can update things themselves.

RH Max
REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS

This business portfolio website bodly shows the background and the multi-million dollar workings of RH MAX, a real estate and investment firm located in Southern California. Some of the features of this high end site include several photo galleries, optional background music, php contact forms and creative transitional animations.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

A different kind of site with Joe's Graphics: real estate investments. High quality California opportunities for beautiful land and construction.
Site features project galleries, info about the company, and CMS set up so that the client can update their own opportunites section with both text and unlimited pictures.

Susan Senk Public Relations &Marketing
FILM AND TV MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION

Utilizing strictly 3D animated buttons, this flash site's sleek design captilizes Susan Senk's extensive work and achievement in the AD PR world. It's creative layout shows the companies' proffesional work consulting and marketing clients involved in sports, TV, fashion, social networking, film and corporate business.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

This one was very tricky to come up with. The request was to make a unique Flash site, with NO graphics. Text only. No logos, no pictures, no video. Just text.
So, considering that I'm learning 3D Flash, I decided to experiment with the possibilities of 3D text. What you see is the result.

Langdon Street Capital
REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS

Langdon Street Capital's Flash site demonstrates a simple, yet effective design. Beautiful background sky animation, sharp slide transitions and a offset shadow background are some of the perks of this Los Angeles, CA based real estate and investment firm.

DESIGNER COMMENTS:

A very simple site for a Los Angeles-based real estate investment company. Mainly text, the site features sliding page transitions, the Los Angeles city skyline, and some subtle cloud animation.
